From an address to a filled report

A tour of about two minutes, narrated and captioned, using a demo firm and real San Diego County data.

  1. Create a site from an address
  2. Parcel, geology and USGS seismic, pulled for you
  3. Fill the firm’s own Preliminary Report
  4. Download the Word document
  5. Find a past site on the map
Map

Decades of work, on one map

Every site the firm has worked on, pinned. When a new job comes in, see what the firm has already done nearby and open what was written there.

Narrow it to the last month or the last year, or show everything.

A full-width map of San Diego County with a year of the firm’s sites pinned, recent ones in blue and older ones in grey, and the date filter open on one year.
Fill

Your template, filled

Every blank your template marks shows up as a field. Auto-fill puts in what Terraclerk knows about the site; edit what needs editing and save. The .docx is the record.

What comes out is your own document: your letterhead, your styles, your numbering, with the values in place.

  • Pick lists come from your template, not ours
  • See what changed before you save
The Fill page: form fields on the left, the report’s sections on the right, and a line from the focused Site Description field to the paragraph it filled.
Two pages of the filled report as Word shows them: the cover on the firm’s letterhead, and the Geology page with its USGS geologic map and the exploration table.
Site data

Pulled directly from sources your engineers trust

Terraclerk looks up the site’s own location in the sources your engineers would check by hand. For example:

  • The USGS National Geologic Map Database, for the geologic map
  • USGS seismic design values
  • The ASCE Hazard Tool, through your firm’s own subscription

Each lands in its place in the report, ready to check.

The report’s Geology section: the Geologic Formation field joined by a line to its sentence, above a USGS geologic map of the site with its mapped units labelled.
The seismic fields, Sds 0.92 and Ss 1.22, with a line from Sds to its value in the report’s Seismic Design section.
Sites

Everything about a site in one place

The site’s location, client, projects and files. Files live in your firm’s Dropbox; Terraclerk shows them and knows which ones it can fill.

A Site page: the site’s photo, its client, and the project’s folders and files, with the Preliminary Report marked as fillable.
Photos

Field photos, without downloading them

Every photo on a site, in one grid, grouped by the folder it was filed in. Open one to see it full size and step through the rest, or swipe through them on a phone.

Pick one to stand for the site, and it shows on the site’s page and on the map.

A photo open full size over the Site page: a hand-dug trench along a creek bank lined with traffic cones, “5 of 10” in the corner and the photo’s folder beneath it.
A Site’s photo gallery: ten field photos as thumbnails, grouped under the folders Field Investigation, Observation - Wall Footings and Site Photos.

Simulated photos: the field photos in these screenshots were generated for the demo firm. No real site is shown.

The Fill page on a phone: one field per card, with Preview and Save and Download at the bottom.
